INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 packs (400 ml) All-purpose cream (chilled overnight)

  • 1 can (300 ml) Condensed milk

  • 1 tablespoon Gelatin or gulaman powder

  • 1 cup Fresh or evaporated milk (for dipping the graham crackers)

  • 1 pack Graham crackers

  • 3 tablespoons Warm water (for dissolving gelatin or gulaman)

Optional Add-ins (for texture or flavor enhancement):

  • 1 cup Mixed nuts (for added crunch in between layers)

  • 1 cup Chocolate chips (for a chocolatey burst in every bite)

  • 1 cup Mango slices (for a fresh, fruity flavor)

  • 1 cup Peach slices (for a sweet and tangy twist)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Prepare the Cream Base

  • In a mixing bowl, whip the all-purpose cream until it becomes light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).

  • Add the condensed milk and scrape the bottom of the bowl to ensure thorough mixing.

  • Continue beating until well-combined and smooth. Set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Gelatin Mixture

  • In a separate small bowl, dissolve the gelatin or gulaman powder in warm water, stirring until smooth and lump-free.

  • Add into the cream mixture and mix until well combined.

Step 3: Prepare the Milk for Dipping

  • In another bowl, pour 1 cup of milk (fresh or evaporated) for dipping the graham crackers. Set aside.

Step 4: Assemble the Base Layer

  • Line your container with cling wrap for easy removal later.

  • Dip each graham cracker into the milk, ensuring both sides are soaked but not soggy.

  • Line the milk-dipped graham crackers at the bottom of the container.

Step 5: Add the Cream Mixture

  • Pour the cream and condensed milk mixture over the graham layer.

    • If using add-ins, pour only half of the mixture.

    • If not using any add-ins, pour the entire mixture.

  •  Use a spatula to spread it evenly, ensuring an even, smooth layer.

Step 6: Add-ins (Optional)

  • If you're using mixed nuts, chocolate chips, mango slices or another fruit, scatter them over the cream layer. This will add a refreshing burst of flavor.

Step 7: Top with the Remaining Cream Mixture and Graham Crackers

  • Add the remaining cream mixture over the scattered add-ins.

  • Use a spatula to spread it evenly, ensuring a smooth layer.

  • Add another layer of milk-dipped graham crackers on top of the cream.

Step 8: Chill and Set

  • Cover the container with cling wrap or foil and freeze the graham ice cream sandwich for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until fully set.

  • Once frozen, lift the dessert using the cling wrap, slice it into bars or squares, and enjoy!

TIPS:

  • Customize: Add other fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or dried fruits like rehydrated dried mangoes, apricots, or raisins for variation. Soak dried fruits in warm water or juice for 10-15 minutes to soften them, then chop into smaller pieces.

  • Flavor Options: Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cream mixture for extra flavor, or mix in cocoa powder for a chocolatey twist. You can also sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm, spiced version.

  • Texture Boost: Add chopped nuts like almonds, walnuts, or cashews in between layers for a crunchy texture that complements the creaminess of the dessert.

  • Graham Cracker Substitutes: Try using chocolate graham crackers or digestive biscuits for a different flavor profile.

  • Serving Tip: Dip your knife in warm water before cutting to get clean, neat slices.

  • Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week. Thaw for 5-10 minutes before serving to soften slightly.

  • Layer Creativity: For an added visual appeal, you can create thinner layers by alternating cream, fruit, and graham crackers more frequently, making each bite a balanced combination of flavors and textures.

Serve & Enjoy! 💖
