200g Spaghetti noodles
1 tbsp. Butter
4 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 pc Onion (chopped)
180g Canned tuna in oil (flakes or chunky)
200g Mushrooms (sliced, you can use fresh or packaged mushrooms)
1 pack All-purpose cream
½ cup Quick melt cheese (cut into cubes)
Pinch of Salt and pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Begin by cooking the pasta. Fill a pot with water, add a splash of oil and a pinch of salt, then bring it to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packaging until it's al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and give it a quick rinse under cold running water. This step effectively stops the cooking process and ensures the ideal texture. After rinsing, set the pasta aside for later use.
Step 2:
In a preheated pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion to the pan. Incorporate the sliced mushrooms and sauté them until they release their moisture and become tender.
Step 3:
Add the canned tuna with its sauce into the pan and let it simmer for about 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Step 4:
Pour in the all-purpose cream and stir to combine all the ingredients. Allow the mixture to gently simmer for 3-5 minutes, then lower the heat to a gentle simmer and add the quick-melt cheese to the sauce. Stir until the cheese melts into the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Enhance the visual appeal and freshness by adding chopped fresh parsley.
Note: You can add more cheese, salt, and pepper if needed.
Step 5:
Get ready to plate up in two delightful ways:
First, arrange the pasta gracefully on your plate and then drizzle it with the luscious sauce and sprinkle freshly chopped herbs, such as parsley or basil, over the creamy pasta for a burst of freshness and color.
Alternatively, for a more interactive approach, you can add the pasta directly into the pan, gently mixing it with the sauce and you can also sprinkle freshly chopped herbs, such as parsley or basil.
- For an added layer of delight, consider including some toasted bread on the side. This addition not only introduces a satisfying crunch but also complements the creamy textures of the pasta, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors and sensations.
Serve & Enjoy! 💖
